2004 Estoril Seniors Open

In October the Seniors were back, and for the second time Oitavos Dunes was holding two professional events within the same calendar year.

Oitavos Dunes had the European Tour’s attention and talks were being held regarding the 2005 Portuguese Open, one of the longest running National Opens Championships dating back to 1953.

The Championship saw most of the same players come back to Oitavos Dunes with the addition of Eamon Darcy, Irish Ryder Cup legend. Darcy was in contention until the back 9 on the final day. However John Chillas, the leader at the beginning of the day, pulled away finishing with a 2 stroke victory over Australian David Good.
